Shri Vikas Purwar is an officer of the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers, 1993 Batch. He did his BE in Mechanical Engineering from Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur in 1992. After that, he joined IIT Delhi for pursuing his MTech Degree in Management and Systems. He has experience of about 28 years in diverse fields of Railway work such as Maintenance of Rolling Stock, Railway Operations, Disaster Management, Procurement of Machinery and Plant, Loco Simulator, IT Systems and new Technologies like REMMLOT, RFID, Automation Projects, OMRS and other wayside detection Systems. He has also worked as Additional Divisional Rail Manager in, Delhi Division before joining CRIS on Deputation.
