Sh. Ajit Kumar Panda completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from NIT, Rourkela, and further obtained an M. Tech degree from IIT, Delhi. He has served as an officer in the India Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers, belonging to the 1990 batch. Currently, he holds the position of functional Director on the Board of Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), where he oversees CONCOR's infrastructure, Rolling Stock, and Management Information System (MIS). Throughout his career spanning approximately 32 years, Shri Panda has held several notable positions within the Indian Railways. These include the roles of Chief Workshop Manager at East Coast Railway, Mancheswar, Director (Production Units) at Railway Board, Executive Director at Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), and Nominee Director in four Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) companies. Additionally, he also served as the ED-in-Charge of RVNL's ERP (SAP) system. Shri Panda has been honoured with the esteemed Hon'ble Railway Minister's National Award for Outstanding Service on two occasions. CONCOR, a listed Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Railways, stands as India's leading multi-modal logistics company, conducting its operations on an extensive IT infrastructure that encompasses various centralized and private cloud-based applications. At present, CONCOR is in the process of implementing an AI-based Terminal Management System.
